Online art psychotherapy

Although it may not be the solution for everyone, online therapy is becoming one of the main means used by people seeking mental health services.

In person or online, therapy is a private, confidential and safe space to share deeply personal and sometimes difficult stories, thoughts or emotions. Online art psychotherapy is based on the same therapeutic process as therapy in person. However, this is a personal choice which will depend on each person's preference, as well as on their life circumstances.

About 50% of my clinical practice is online. This allows therapy to happen in your time and in the privacy of your own home or wherever you wish, without worrying about traffic or time spent on your trip to therapy. This option is common and ideal for those who wish to do distance therapy, either due to living at a different country or further away from my physical practice.

Although this is useful to many, online therapy is not recommended for more complex situations, such as in case of severe symptoms of a mental health condition, who may require closer and more direct support.

Online therapy is by video chat platform Zoom, which is considered one of the safest platforms, within the limits of the internet (for more information please visit Zoom). It is important that you have a private and confidential space dedicated to therapy where you feel safe to talk comfortably.

If you would like to do online therapy, you can find out more about individual therapy here.
